How to update Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) settings on an iPhone / iPad

Follow the steps below to update an Apple iPhone / iPad email account Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) settings.
iOS Version: 11.3.1+
  • Home Button
  • Settings
  • Password & Accounts
  • Tap Account to update (Under Accounts)
  • Tap Account email address >
  • Tap SMTP > (Under Outgoing Mail Server)
  • Tap On > (Under Primary Server)
  • Outgoing Mail Server
    • Host Name:
    • User Name: Enter your full email address.
    • Password: Enter your email account password.
    • Use SSL: Turn On
    • Authentication: Password
    • Server Port: 587
    • Done
After tapping Done, the account will verify. If the account verification is unsuccessful, retype your password and tap Done (The password is case sensitive).
